I work collaboratively with clients to help empower them through development of increased awareness of old, misguided patterns of behavior along with enhanced, healthy adaptation skills. In combination, these help to build clients’ confidence in their ability to adapt to change and feel satisfied in their lives.
I am skilled working with individuals as well as parent/child pairs to enhance understanding and skills around ADHD issues. I have extensive experience working with adults and children struggling with anxiety or depression. I particularly enjoy working with parents and adolescents as they journey through the teen years.
My clients find me to be warm, non-judgemental, empathic, insightful and knowledgeable. My style is strengths-based and collaborative, utilizing different modalitites of treatment as needed. A necessary and ever-present component of my treatment style is a sense of humor. Therapy is healing and laughter is a great healer!
