I am an LCSW and have worked with adults, couples, adolescents, children and families dealing with many life situations and psychological challenges for 31 years. During this time I worked for twelve years as a civilian psychotherapist with the Army and Air Force here and overseas. I am grateful for the immense and diverse experiences. I service the Lake Norman area. I provide individual, couple and family psychotherapy. I no longer work with children and adolescents. I primarily serve Military Personnel/Veterans/Families, First Responders (EMS, Law Enforcement and Fire personnel).
I like to provide an open and non-judgmental space for clients to feel free to share their issues and concerns. In my work with several populations I feel it is important to connect in a way that validates your personal experience. Each client has a unique background and I don't start with any assumptions. I like to listen and create treatment together.
I am open to consult with clients with a variety of issues. I have felt fortunate to work with many diverse populations. It is important to meet someone where they are in the present moment, while also exploring how that person came to be in this present moment. I enjoy hearing each person's unique story.
