My goal is to help clients understand the “Why” in what they are experiencing in their life. This is accomplished through a combination of education, discussion, reflection, and intervention.
My primary focus is guiding clients through the healing process and resolving issues related to traumas and adverse life events to address the mental health issues they are facing including PTSD and other trauma- and stressor-related disorders as well as those experiencing symptoms related to mood, anxiety, and personality disorders.
I will work to gather information in areas such as, but not limited to, why is the client seeking therapy services; physical health concerns (current and history); medications; family and social histories; mental health symptoms (current and history); as well as information surrounding current living environment.
