My focus in counseling is to help you through the process of change. If you are struggling as a parent and want to learn strategies beyond medication to help your child be more successful, I can help. I am also a trauma specialist and strive to help clients work through depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, abuse, anger, addictions, and other challenging life situations. EMDR and 22Zero is used to help clients "reprocess" traumas and other disturbing life events to help clients move beyond the negative emotions and dysfunctional thoughts that are connected with past events.
I have 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents who are diagnosed with ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Bi-polar & Major Depressive Disorder, Attachment Disorder, and PTSD in a residential treatment setting and private practice. I have also helped my own children move beyond their symptoms of ADHD without medication.
