I love working with people who recognize a need in their lives and reach out for input and assistance in defining and implementing ways to fulfill these needs. Anything from simply wanting someone to talk to outside of family and friends, to finding ways to cope with anxieties, managing emotions, exploring issues, repairing relationship damage, solving problems and beginning healthier patterns.
I focus on using talk therapy to help people recognize what contributes to unhealthy life patterns and assist them in implementing new healthy patterns. I draw from a variety of therapy modalities in individual application to help each client as needed, no cookie-cutter approach here.
My style is easygoing and conversational, empathetic and supportive, humorous and expressive. I invite you to come and think about things, try something new, maybe engage in 'homework' in between sessions, and recognize that you have strengths and abilities beyond your problems and a desire to become the best version of yourself.
