After having worked as a school counselor at the grade school level for nine years, and at the high school level for fifteen, I transitioned to working with adults in a clinical setting, thirteen years ago. I have experience in meeting with people to work through relationship issues, process emotions, and learn new tools for dealing with anxiety, depression, and stress.
While many of us have life goals, it can be a struggle, at times, to know how to process difficult personal issues in order to more effectively work towards those goals. In a supportive, therapeutic environment, people are often able to discover some answers, so that they feel they can move forward.
I have a particular interest in working with those who are experiencing life changes, including grief and loss, and am able to offer services utilizing a Christian perspective, for those who find that framework helpful. I feel most comfortable doing solution-focused brief therapy with adults and couples.
