Hello, my name is Lynn Bowman. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who sees teens, adults, and elders in person and virtually across Mid-Michigan. I welcome clients from all walks of life and have expertise in treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image concerns. I also offer counseling for postpartum, prenatal, and maternal mental health, as well as supporting clients through the many transitions of life. I am currently accepting new clients and take most health insurance. Please take some time to learn more and see if I may be a good fit for you.
While I hold the title of Psychotherapist I am also an artist, mom, daughter, and most importantly a fellow human being. I believe empathy, listening, and being able to relate are essential ingredients for a competent therapist.
My theoretical point of view is rooted in Person-Centered (Rogerian or client-centered therapy), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. By integrating these methods, I aim to equip clients with practical tools to manage their anxiety and improve their overall well-being.
