As we navigate our often-complex world, there are times when talking with a professional can make a significant positive difference. I work with children, adolescents and adults on issues that may be interfering with success at home, school, jobs or relationships in general. I provide a welcoming and supportive environment, in which trusting relationships develop. In addition to talk therapy and a variety of approaches, I also do experiential work including art, music and being out in nature - whatever might resonate with individuals. This is about making the process work for you.
All of us sometimes "sit with" complicated feelings that can be overwhelming. As a former school social worker, and now in private practice, I work to support children and parents as they navigate home and school environments. I also work with adults who are going through various transitions in their lives.
My clients come to me with anxiety, depression, challenging relationships, and a variety of life changing issues. We'll work on better understanding situations and feelings, and developing coping skills that are useful in many settings. I hope to be your guide as we work together to discover your strengths and move towards a happier, healthier life.

Groups
The Wisdom Years
This is a self-discovery group for women, ages 55 to 75, for the purpose of exploring together the many transitions that take place in this time period of life. We meet every other week for 6 sessions, and sessions are 90 minutes in length. This group can be made up of women who already know each other (e.g. book group) or women signing up individually. There is much focus on the wisdom that has been accumulated through life experiences. Topics covered include emerging roles, work/retirement, relationships, health and mindfulness.
