I have been a Clinical Social Worker for 50 years. . I love being able to help people and to make a difference in their lives. I work with adults, both individually and as couples. I see couples for pre-marital counseling, as well as marital therapy. I also work with gay and lesbian couples.Often times, individuals are able to resolve their issue and develop a stronger relationship. I also see adolescents experiencing adjustment issues and work with families during and after divorces.I have a psychodynamic background and focus on underlying motivations. I use cognitive therapy to understand cognitive distortions.
There is an art to maintaining intimacy. All relationship have ups and downs. I want individuals to understand their isssues and better deal with them. My specialties include depression, anxiety, womens' issues,eating disorders, grief and relationship issuses. My experience have given me a good understanding of people.
I have been told that people feel comfortable speaking with me and appreciate the connection I make with them. It is very important for me to be caring and attentive. I appreciate that people will find me many years later and reach out to me during difficult times.
