I am a caring and compassionate therapist who is committed to helping people make needed changes in their lives. Sometimes change is not possible and we need the tools to adapt to those situations that are beyond our control. I have supported many clients in the therapeutic relationship to learn about themselves and to focus and build on the strengths that each person has. I have extensive experience with adolescents and children and i have always worked very closely with parents so that we can all work towards the same goals.
I have worked in many different settings with children, adolescents and adults. I have worked as a Director in a psychiatric hospital for adolescents and have worked for many years counseling adolescents, children, and adults in a community settings and in private practice.
What I feel is unique in my practice is that I believe it is important to work closely with parents. Although confidentiality is important, I also feel it is important that parents know what their children are working on in treatment and they need to be part of the treatment plan.
