I am a WA state licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience. In working with couples, I integrate three evidence-based approaches that include Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, Internal Family Systems Couple Therapy, and Gottman Method Couple Therapy. My integrated approach touches on attachment needs and fears. Fear of rejection and abandonment while longing for connection. The emotional disconnection leads to a pattern of push and pull in a couple’s predictable negative cycle of interaction.
My integrated approach touches on the couple’s internal systems that includes the seat of consciousness, the Self, and their protective and wounded younger parts that get triggered causing confusion and chaos within the relationship.
My integrated approach gently guides the couple learning how to communicate and have difficult conversations. How to listen, be present, validate, accept responsibility, and form a productive plan for future conflicts. The goal of my integrated approach is to deepen the friendship, increase intimacy, manage conflicts effectively, and heal the injured parts.
