I provide client-centered psychotherapy built within the frame work of evidence-based therapeutic approaches -- to adults and children. I work collaboratively with my clients to address symptoms of depression, anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts and maladaptive behaviors. Pivotal to my work is my dedication to creating a safe, non-judgmental environment, and building a strong therapeutic relationship to effectively address presenting concerns. In addition, I work with a keen awareness of the interconnection between medical and mental health.

I also work with clients who are going through major life changes, and are experiencing distress that comes with the challenges of making major adjustment. I view human suffering as points of pivot for making meaningful turns, and thoughts and behaviors that one develops to cope -- are crucial.

If you have a medical condition and are struggling with responding appropriately to emerging psychological distress, I can help you build skill sets for managing those symptoms. I am able to offer very affordable rates while doing quality work with you. I am looking forward to meeting you.

Professional Connections

Ms. Bethany Grove, MS, LCPC, NCC
Ms. Bethany Grove, MS, LCPC, NCC
Counselor Colleague, known for 5 years
Lynda and I went to graduate school together at Johns Hopkins University and worked together at a community mental health agency. Lynda is one of the warmest, most compassionate therapists I've ever met. She truly listens and always seems to be in tune with her clients' concerns. She cares deeply about helping people with mental health symptoms stemming from underlying medical conditions. Lynda seems to find ease in building strong relationships with her clients, often acting as an ally to help them feel supported, a mirror to help bring light to their confusing situations, and a cheerleader to help them build upon their strengths. I would highly recommend working with Lynda on your therapeutic journey if you'd like to feel accepted for who you are, supported to build on your strengths, and empowered to live to your fullest potential.

Bethany and I worked together as individual and family therapists at Thrive behavioral Health. While providing mental health therapeutic services to a client population whose mental health needs were made even more challenging by their environments, Bethany's exceptional counseling skills and dedication to empowering women and girls made a world of difference in the lives of her clients. She is incredibly creative and incorporates this in her work with clients, whether it is in the form of activating behaviors that uplift mood and puts goals in perspectives, or in the form of play therapy with younger clients for addressing behavioral and emotional challenges. Her very positive personality shines through in her interaction with people within and outside work environments. She's a great therapist and I miss working with her.
