Lyn Spence, MA, LLPC, CCPS-c, Counselor in Novi
Overwhelmed with life, experiencing grief or loss, feeling down or anxious? Or you may be a partner of someone struggling with pornography or sex addiction, working to overcome the trauma of discovery, along with the betrayal and loss it brings. Perhaps you're having difficulty connecting with your significant other and want to learn good communication skills, and how to build a foundation of friendship, trust and commitment? I provide a safe space where you will feel listened to and cared for: I enjoy introducing hope and helping you to move towards the life you want to live.
Survivors of betrayal trauma are partners of those struggling with sexual addiction, pornography, or infidelity. They often experience shock at the discovery of it. I work with you to restore safety, stability, and make sense of your experience. I am a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist candidate (CCPS-c.).
I often use objective assessments, such as the Gottman Relationship Check-up with couples, to tailor therapy to your unique needs more quickly than talking alone can. I will work together with you to develop skills; and to set practical goals each session that will lead to growth and improvement.
