It has always been my passion to help children and adolescents gain their full potential in life. I am dedicated to helping individuals meet their goals by examining the connection between how they think, feel (emotionally and physically), behave, and interact in their various environments. I facilitate growth and change in my clients by teaching mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, as well as processing underlying trauma when needed. I provide counseling for individuals with a variety of issues and concerns, from anger management to self-esteem building.
I specialize in Mindfulness skills for Children, Teens, and Young Adults. Teaching clients ages 3-30 mindfulness techniques that help them become more calm, focused, and kind. With these skills they learn effective ways to self-soothe, reduce intensity of emotions, and bring awareness to their actions and feelings.
Due to the rise in mental health needs for children, all before/after school sessions are full. I provide a priority waitlist for children who are being taken out of school to get the next available after school session. Although it may be difficult to decide to have your child miss school, strong mental health increases the child’s ability to learn.
