Hey! I'm Lydia Vazquez a Licensed Clinical Social Worker ready to discuss the good, the bad, and even funny! In navigating our difficult truths, my hope is to help you in navigating acceptance and strategies. Laughter is a tool that I appreciate for connectivity. I've been privileged to work with a myriad of lovely people. A good amount of the folks I work with are working professionals navigating the stressors of work, relationships, and family. I see folks with short and long-term conditions of depression, anxiety, and inattention. I work in trying to understand ways to change your symptoms.
I appreciate integrating different approaches such as psychodynamic theory (hitting up the past and patterns), motivational interviewing (understanding decision-making), and understanding the correlation of thoughts-feelings-behavior via cognitive behavioral therapy. These approaches are some of my greatest hits.
I sometimes have an appreciation for mindfulness and dialectal behavior therapy. My goal is to be a guide to your change. In communication, I appreciate a conversational approach as a means to incorporate your assessment of problems, goals, and overall betterment.
