Life is about emotional development. Development gets delayed by trauma and loss, and then symptoms appear. These symptoms may show up as depression, grief, failed relationships, addictions, health issues, rage, and ambivalence toward life. Initiation from one phase to another is halted, and growth stops. Fear and terror can and do set in. Psychotherapy helps us integrate the fear of transformation and emotions.
