As a parent, your heart hurts to watch your child or teen struggle with big emotions, anxiety, school stress, or the aftermath of trauma that leaves you exhausted, worried, and wondering if you're doing enough. I’m Lydia Royer, LCSW. I offer warm and collaborative therapy with over eight years of clinical experience supporting children (ages 3+), teens, and families through anxiety, ADHD, trauma, school problems, and life’s challenges. My approach is evidence-based and trauma-informed, grounded in the belief that real healing happens inside safe, trusting relationships.
I partner with parents to help kids learn to feel safe again when the world is too big and scary. Using play, I create a gentle space where they can express and process emotions in a natural way. For trauma and anxiety, I incorporate TF-CBT and EMDR when appropriate. I also draw on CBT, DBT skills, parent coaching, and family therapy.
My style is compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative so both you and your child feel truly heard and respected.
