My name is Lupita Pearl Colbert. However, I go by my middle name, "Pearl." I attended California State University, Dominguez Hills, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in psychology. I then pursued a Master's Degree with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. While I was attending graduate school, I took a position with a company providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), working as a behavioral therapist with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It was here that I found my passion for working with children and families.
I found that I had a knack for behavior modification and enrolled concurrently in an ABA certification program at National University. I completed both my MFT hours and BCBA hours concurrently and am now dual-licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist and as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
In addition to counseling, I currently run a social skills program for both children and adults affected by ASD and provide parent/caregiver training to their families. I have a great deal of experience treating those with ASD, depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA+ issues, addiction, and many other issues of clinical importance.
