Many individuals first come to my office feeling “stuck in the muck”, overwhelmed, burdened, hurt or alone, while others are seeking a witness to their pain and suffering, are in a state of immense life changes, or are experiencing challenges after surviving a traumatic event or a lifetime of traumatic exposure. No problem you are currently experiencing is too big. What is therapy like with me? I meet each individual, couple, or system where they are at, and do so with unconditional positive regard. You are the expert of you; as the therapist, I am here to learn and create a safe space for you to meet your unique therapy goals.
From the very first session, we learn and practice tangible takeaway skills for coping and thriving outside the therapy room. These skills are unique to you, as I am trained in multiple modalities to get us there. Particularly, I find mind-body approaches instrumental in healing trauma via a “bottom up” approach.
I love being a therapist! Especially on hard days, which I call “milkshake days”, I am honored to join my clients in their healing journey.
