About

You have the heart of a competitive athlete or other high performer. But first and foremost, you are a human being with feelings and vulnerabilities, but you may have lost sight of that amidst the ongoing pressure and pursuit of excellence. Diverse athletes from high school to pro levels work with me to manage competitive performance demands, daily stress, relationship struggles, and life changes such as injury recovery and career transition. The work often starts with solving problems, but ideally it leads to unlocking optimal experience.
I am a licensed psychologist specializing in sport and performance psychology. I have a cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based approach to collaborative consultation. I am listed in the mental health directories of the NFL Players Association and US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and serve as Team Psychologist for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Are you seeking personal improvement while being seen and heard for who you are as a whole person? Are you looking beyond a sympathetic ear to development of specific tools and skills? Are you looking for someone who appreciates the ways that society and culture influence healing? I have a few available openings, and I look forward to hearing from you!
