Hi, I'm Luis, a therapist (LMFT) who has been in the field for 15 years. I've worked in several settings helping children, adults, and older adult clients develop healthy coping skills to manage emotional distress and improve or return to their typical function. I also have extensive experience facilitating adult group therapy sessions focused on stabilization and development of coping skills. In addition, I have experience supporting clients living with depression and anxiety through individual therapy sessions.
During my time as a therapist, I've developed attunement skills to help me truly see my clients. I've found that this approach leads to clients feeling supported and understood. In addition, I consistently use empathy and validation while helping clients process difficult emotions and experiences.
