I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner who integrates EMDR and DBT. I have experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with Resiliency, Trauma, Grief, Sexual Assault, Near Death Experiences/Altered States, Syndromes, People Pleasing, and Addictions.
The work of obtaining resiliency, much like my clients, is diverse. Pacing is critical, as we need time to integrate the Somatic cues to help those feeling stuck finally move forward. Empathy and patience are key, as one could injure themselves bringing down the self-protective walls built up over time. We must come to believe the walls are no longer needed.
