My primary goal is to help my clients lead happy, meaningful lives. If you have been feeling depressed, anxious or dealing with situations that are particularly difficult or that feel overwhelming to you, therapy may help you. I work with Individuals and Couples and have experience helping adults from many different cultural and ethnic backgrounds and of different sexual orientations. I will work with you in an atmosphere of trust, collaboration, and support. Together, we will address whatever challenges you are facing, and will work towards concrete goals and solutions.
Combining my training in different treatment modalities and orientations (cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic and systems theories, Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, mindfulness, and other evidence-based treatments), we will work together so that you are able to make real, lasting changes to your life and interpersonal relationships.
I am Brazilian and was educated in Brazil, the UK and the US, where I have lived for almost twenty years. Because of my personal and educational background, I am comfortable conducting psychotherapy in English or Portuguese. My office is centrally located in midtown Manhattan, near the Empire State Building and Herald Square.
