As a counselor, I have learned to work with people of all different walks of life. I have understood the importance of the helping profession and have equipped myself with skills to assist those I will work with in overcoming their concerns. Over the years, I realized the benefit of providing a space in which individuals can process their emotions and barriers to emotional wellness. My experience has allowed me to work on with individuals with a multi-facet area of struggles and distress which can include depression, anxiety, substance use, relational conflicts and trauma.
As a mental health practitioner, I have learned the benefits of applying therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Also, the utilization of Motivational Interviewing and Supportive Therapy have been wonderful experience in assisting individuals pursue emotional wellness.
