About

I believe that therapy is teamwork: I offer my clinical knowledge, and my clients bring the expert knowledge of their own lives. I have experience working with clients to address many issues of mental wellness, such as anxiety, depression, and the after-effects of traumatic life experiences, including interpersonal/ domestic violence. I enjoy helping couples who are experiencing relationship difficulties, and those who are looking for help parenting their children.
I am warm, knowledgeable, and empathic. The work that I do with clients is strongly trauma-informed, and my practice emphasizes mindfulness, approachable cognitive-behavioral interventions, and the development of independent problem-solving skills. I help clients to develop positive regard and compassion for themselves.
I understand that reaching out to begin therapy often feels daunting. Thinking about past hurts can be painful. Sharing those hurts with another person can feel intimidating. I believe very much in the abilities of other human beings. I help people to heal the hurts they have endured, clarify their desires, and nurture their strengths and talents.
