I’m Lucy, a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate in the state of North Carolina. I provide affirming and person-centered therapy to teens and adults (ages 14+). As a therapist, I have worked with clients through their journeys with various challenges, including depression, anxiety, loneliness, academic stress, work- related stress, trauma, adjustment issues, relationship issues, and interpersonal problems. I have a particular interest in serving LGBTQ+ clients and clients with Autism, ADHD, or others who identify as neurodivergent. My style is warm, supportive, nonjudgmental, and down to earth.
I believe that creating a safe, respectful, environment that fosters trust is essential to therapy. My practice is influenced by Narrative Therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, and Feminist Theory. I believe that mental health challenges are rational responses to an irrational world. Once we understand this, we have much more room to engage with problems in a helpful way.
