Thinking about seeking a therapist can be a difficult process. It takes a lot of courage to face ones' struggles and even more to actually deal with them. In my practice I try to provide a safe, non-judgmental and trusting environment. My experience tells me that most life struggles have to do with the behaviors that contribute to how we stop ourselves in the world from getting what we want. If we don't understand the "how" we are most likely to repeat the very behaviors we want to rid ourselves of. Therapy can be vital in helping us to be more aware.
I have been in private practice for more than 25 years. I have treated clients who have been presented with a wide variety of problems, such as depression, anxiety, relationships, employment issues, grief, loss of pet and marital issues. I also have a sub-specialty of working with people who have or had a cancer diagnosis.
My training includes a Master of Science with a Social Work concentration from Columbia University. I am also a certified Gestalt Therapist. Oncology Social worker at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
