The Lucy Daniels Center is a 501c3 nonprofit that was founded in 1989 to provide mental health services to children and families in the Triangle. We believe that the earlier a child’s challenges are addressed, the better the chance to help that child develop emotionally, socially, and academically. Our mission is to help children live emotionally healthy lives through in-depth evaluation and treatment, family involvement, and education. Lucy Daniels Center views a child’s behavior as a communication of need and equips parents to understand and respond to those needs in a meaningful way. We help families find ways to alleviate their every day struggles while also addressing the root cause of the issues, allowing long-term change and healing to take place.
Our Farley-Manning Family Guidance Service (FGS) program provides on-site and telehealth therapy for children ages birth through 11 years old and their families. FGS clinicians help families understand the reasons why their children may be having emotional and/or behavioral difficulties and help them work toward sustainable solutions and healing.
