I don't believe in reinventing the wheel! My goal as a therapist is to work collaboratively with you to find a match between your needs and the interventions that psychological and medical research tell us will best resolve those needs. Choosing the researched intervention for your specific problem will help you experience relief faster and treatment will cost less in terms of time and money. I am a clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience and renown in using interventions such DBT, CBT and FBT (aka the Maudsley approach).
I have expertise in the treatment of EDs (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating) and in DBT. In 2013 the Academy for Eating Disorders gave me their Outstanding Clinician award to acknowledge my contribution to the field. I have been intensively trained in DBT and am a trainer and consultant for Marsha Linehan's training company.
