About
From my perspective, as Virginia Satir stated: "Problems are not the problem, coping is the problem." This means that in order to solve problems we have not solved before, we need to think differently. The solution is in seeing how our personal worldview has helped in some situations and not so much in others. Our stories hold the key there. The problem is also that it is difficult to see how our stories have impacted our life because most are semi-conscious or unconscious. But we have our life experiences to reflect on and find clarity from. My ideal client is someone who wants to get better, thrive and find joy.
I work with self-discovery and self-awareness. I use mindfulness, stories we tell ourselves, dreams, experience and learning to think in ways that are healing rather than self-defeating.
If you want to get better, reach out. Life is not easy, but every situation is human. In that way you are less unique than you may think. I believe there are always solutions even when therapy has not helped so far with other therapists. Don't give up. I have helped people who had given up on themselves even after years of therapy.
