In reality, the memories can weigh you down with fear, anxiety, and even depression. What if you could share your secrets with someone who listens to understand? Someone who validates your feelings and experiences without judgment? Brené Brown says the antidote to shame is empathy. Sharing your secrets can be incredibly healing. It can lead to more self-acceptance and courage. I can help you release the secrets that burden you.
Most of my clients are seeking help with trauma, adult ADHD, and all the related problems - depression, anxiety, relationship and work problems, etc. In addition to clinical training, my lived experience taught me how to cope with many of these problems. I learned when, how, and with whom to be open about these things after years of secrecy.
I know how hard it is to share these secrets - the vulnerability it causes. I also know that exposing darkness to the light of empathy leads to healing - recovery. Talk therapy is not the only way to address trauma, shame, and vulnerability. EMDR, EFT, journaling, mindfulness, art, and other therapies may help when talking does not. Email if I can help.
