With a previous career in health and wellness and over 10 years working in the mental health field, I work to provide care from a relational psychodynamic perspective and a primary focus on patterns of how we relate with ourselves and others as we navigate our days. I work with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, suicidal thoughts, etc. I consider it a tremendous honor to join each of my clients in their life journey and together we explore experiences that get us hung up living more freely in the lives we have today.
Working from a relational, emotional, and trauma-informed lens, I join the journey with my clients to work through hard circumstances and develop new patterns as we together hold hope for the future. I strive to provide a space for clients to better understand themselves and their context in order to work toward ownership, empowerment, health, and healing.
Paying close attention to relationships from the past helps to inform our understanding of how we live today. We will focus a good deal on your feelings. Our society privileges our mind over affect and yet research shows that we feel things before we think things. Sometimes we think to avoid how we feel. Together, we will engage in this reflective work.
