I successfully use EMDR Therapy with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, self-worth issues, performance troubles, PTSD, and other types of trauma.
Sometimes we just need a band-aid to get us through a rough patch, and other times a deeper dive into long-standing patterns and struggles is the right focus - both are valid approaches! Choosing the right therapist is an important step, so let's chat about questions you might have and make sure you get the right fit. I work with individuals, couples, and children, and from time to time I also offer group workshops. I have specialized training in EMDR , Play Therapy, and have over a decade of clinical experience. I am currently an LPC Board-approved clinical supervisor as well as an adjunct professor in Loyola's Counseling program.

I use a combination of well-researched interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR , Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and other techniques to help you make better choices, & feel calmer and more in control.
In this increasingly wacky world, life can happen in a way that doesn't always seem to work. Change may be scary, leaving you feeling lost without a roadmap. I work to create a safe, supportive environment, free from judgment so you can show up and put whatever you're thinking and feeling on the table. We navigate together - exploring and sorting out your strengths and inner dialogue to harness your power (it's in there!). My goal is to help you reduce feelings of stress, sadness, and confusion, open your mind to possibilities, and give you concrete, practical new tools and strategies to get you back on your best path.

I am a certified EMDR therapist ( EMDR International Association).
I know it can be difficult to choose counseling. In a non-judgmental and caring environment, I work with persons to shine a light into emotional triggers and self-sabotaging beliefs that limit possibilities and goals. I have experience working with depression and anxiety, including those who worry constantly and those with phobias. Working with past traumas and negative experiences has turned out to be my specialty. Some examples are those with a history of abuse (sexual, physical, emotional) childhood, relational, and bullying victims. Past trauma and memories can continue to haunt our today. Be the hero, choose freedom.

I utilize a variety of techniques, such as, Attachment Theory, CBT, EMDR , Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy and Somatic Experiencing, all with the goal of helping us access our true and authentic self.
Hello! I am deeply passionate about helping people heal from trauma, addiction (porn addiction, sex addiction, sexual shame and trauma), financial/work disorders, infidelity, abuse/neglect, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and depression. I believe that understanding and processing the roots of your trauma, which led to unhealthy and unwanted patterns, allows for holistic healing. This involves healing in four core areas: emotional, spiritual, physical, and relational. My hope is to help you reconnect with your heart, God, and with those whom you love the most.

EMDR , EFT (tapping), and the evidence-based trauma treatments for contemporary PTSD and Complex (early childhood) PTSD.
People "SEEK" therapy because they NEED change; changes in life circumstances, or in how they see things, think, feel, or behave… and sometimes, it’s ALL of these. They need a psychotherapist who will make a firm commitment to effecting whatever these changes need to be. By applying skilled and thorough assessment techniques to understand just how the discontentment is maintaining itself, then applying research-proven techniques to undo these present processes and create new ones. Unhappiness, pain, and suffering need to be alleviated and transformed into feeling well, contented, and in charge of your life and how you experience it.

I work from an IFS perspective utilizing EMDR and bringing in elements of ACT, CBT and somatic interventions.
Greetings, I am a psychotherapist who specializes in Trauma and Sex Therapy. My goal is to support you holistically working together to create a space of healing. Most of us experience some type of negative life event as we move throughout our lives. Events that are not fully processed may show up as increased anxiety, anger, depression, or unpleasant sensations in our bodies. I also work with individuals who have toxic shame. As a Sex Therapist, I work with individuals who want to explore and broaden their own sexuality and those with sexual concerns, sexual dysfunction, sexual pain and desire discrepancies.

EMDR and Brainspotting can do wonders in releasing toxic carried emotions that no longer serve you.
I am a therapist who specializes in trauma, grief, addiction, codependency, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and self-compassion. It takes such courage to reach out for help, and I want to make this experience as safe, non-judgmental and empowering for you as possible. If you feel stuck or lost in the same maladaptive, dysfunctional patterns, perhaps together we can foster a relationship for growth. Perhaps Cheryl Strayed said it best, “I’d finally come to understand what it had been: a yearning for a way out, when actually what I had wanted to find was a way in."

Get your life back! Become the person you were made to be and finally live the life you’ve always dreamed of. Hi my name is Beau and I provide individual therapy for adult men and women and IFS Informed EMDR Consultations for Therapists. I know what it’s like to struggle. Early on in my life I struggled with anxiety and not fitting in. At some point, I began using drugs as a way to escape and lived a very unhealthy and unhappy lifestyle until I hit bottom. I turned my life around by getting help with a therapist (a very special person that held space for me and understood my pain without judging me).

EMDR Therapists

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
