I have over 10 years of professional experience in counseling individuals experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, mood disorders such as Bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and other conditions. I help people with a variety of concerns including relationships, family, and identity. I am a good fit for those struggling with questions of meaning; anyone overburdened with guilt and shame; those who feel they are outsiders; as well as creative/intellectual types. My first goal is to listen and approach you as an individual. Everything I do in session is designed to help you to speak fully about who you are and your experience. My clinical practice is deeply informed by psychoanalysis, which is focused on helping you achieve greater freedom in being who you want to be.
I see my role as a guide, helping you avoid pitfalls and point out new possibilities in the process of being you. Looking thoughtfully at where you have been and what you would like to achieve, we can move towards a life where you are better able to cope with the challenges that you face while more authentically expressing yourself.
