Emotional pain is difficult and often lonely. False beliefs can be the root of this pain. Shining light on the truth that opens us up to our unique true self and joy can be challenging. For over 24 years I've had the privilege of working with incredible people of varied ethnicities, spiritual beliefs and gender/sexual preferences. My deepest desire is to offer a space without judgement that is collaborative, challenging, compassionate and empowering. Areas of experience and focus include working with depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, anger management and trauma (including emotional, physical and sexual abuse). I also welcome those who desire to weave together spiritual beliefs and longings into the healing work of psychotherapy.
Because each individual is unique, I incorporate various therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic theory, family of origin insight, expressive/experiential techniques including mindfulness and bodywork. Other avenues of healing include psycho-education, cognitive behavioral tools and dream work. I am also trained in EMDR.
