"SAFE HAVEN" was the exact words one of my first clients used to describe our time together. It was this sense of safety and connection that allowed her to explore life events that had previously kept her: isolated, fearful and angry. Our work together, incorporated directive based and open therapeutic art-making to help her share the burden of her trauma, understand how she was feeling in relation to what she had experienced and to facilitate forming a new sense of direction.
Practice is unique, weaving counseling, art therapy into an integrative whole- addressing the needs of most clients. Approach is psychoanalytically based with strong ties to: attachment theory, human development, mindfulness, and the mind-body connection.
I am passionate about my work because I have experienced alongside my clients the transformative power of the creative process. Expressive art-making with intention and guidance empowers the client to explore, in their own way and at their own pace, the challenges they are facing. It opens doors that verbal therapy alone cannot.

Online support group led by clinician who also has Type 1 Diabetes. A place to share: Resources, Insights, Challenges, Laughs, Frustration, and Hope. Creating Calm Space
A combo gentle (trauma-sensitive) yoga/breath-work and meditation class followed by an art therapy directive/response. Group will focus on calming the nervous system, self-care, empowerment and personal exploration. No yoga or artistic experience required. Supplies will be provided. Contact me or visit my website to register. This is a 6 week series on Tuesdays, starting October 7, 2025. All 6 meetings are not required, but recommended for cumulative benefits. Financial incentive- 1 free session when signing up for all 6.
