I have a heart for people who are overwhelmed with life's experiences and struggling to cope and move forward to a healthier place. I feel people need to know there is someone in their corner, willing to listen, and help them find a place of feeling stronger, more in control and capable of managing life's difficulties. In my experience I have found that, in most situations, by the time someone reaches out to a counselor, they have already tried to self-heal and are in a place where they can only see one thing: the problem. I find great value in helping people learn ways to cope, regain their perspective, and feel worthy again.
I am an empathic counselor seeking to connect with clients through acceptance and unconditional positive regard. Counseling is a collaborative effort that, through education and encouragement, will help clients learn to help themselves by enhancing their own strengths and abilities to overcome their weaknesses and reach their goals.
