About
The most important factor in choosing a therapist or counselor, once you have established their credentials, is to select someone you are comfortable talking to. Research shows that the quality of the relationship can be more important to the outcome than the treatment modality. For this reason, I try to establish an understanding, collaborative and interactive approach, and I am happy to offer an initial phone consultation at no charge, before setting up our first meeting, You should always feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
My practice focuses on issues such as relationships, self esteem, adaptation to life situations, work/life balance, and workplace problems. I try to provide the treatment you feel is best for you, whether that means understanding how the past is affecting you at present; or offering specific problem-solving strategies and suggestions; or a combination.
I have been in the mental health field for over 30 years. My doctorate in Counseling and Consulting Psychology is from Harvard University and my Clinical training is from Harvard Medical School. My offices are conveniently located on Boylston St. in Boston's Copley Square, and in Newton Center.
