I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 35 years of experience. I earned my degree from the SUNY Stony Brook School of Social Welfare in 1990 and have advanced training and expertise in family therapy, addictions, and CBT for anxiety, depression, and trauma. Additionally, I am a Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist and a Mediator specializing in family mediation and relational conflict theory. Beyond private practice, I have served as an instructor in the McDaniel College Master’s in Counseling program, provided clinical supervision to students and colleagues, and volunteered on several professional ethics committees.
My practice focuses on individuals, couples, and families, specializing in marital mediation, mood, anxiety, substance use disorders, and trauma. I view therapy as collaborative, working together towards the goals you identify. In a non-judgmental atmosphere, I help clients build upon their strengths while focusing on practical solutions to challenges.
I fundamentally believe in preserving relationships and people inherently having capacity for change. This drives how I help people connect with their strengths, understand how they impact others, how others impact them, and how they navigate their larger worlds.
