Dr. Migdal is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in comprehensive treatment for multi-exceptional youth and adults. She provides psychological assessments and therapeutic support for ADHD, autism, gifted and talented, and learning disorders. She provides collaborative, compassionate care to all involved in treatment. She is also a RDI consultant in training for family based interventions for autism.
Parenting neurodiverse children is not always intuitive and parents often come in to therapy feeling uncertain of how to proceed with their child. This is very normal. Dr. Migdal will listen to you and hear your perspective to make sure that you feel heard. She will help you to find the appropriate direction to move your relationships forward.
Therapy is a collaboration between therapist and client and there are a number of ways to understand a problem and find solutions. My approach to therapy includes unconditional positive regard, insight, shame resilience, play therapy, mindfulness, cognitive skill building, regulation support, and guiding. Parent guidance is often an ongoing support.
