Counseling is an opportunity to set aside time for yourself, learn how to use your strengths to overcome challenges, and meet your needs and wants. I have worked with many clients who have experienced a variety of challenges including; trauma, depression, anxiety, life challenges/transitions, women's issues, parenting and relationship challenges. I also work with parents of children diagnosed with an anxiety disorder using Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). Using this evidenced based framework I'm able to meet with parent(s) only with the result of reducing their child's (and therefore family's) anxiety.
I am a certified clinical trauma professional and have worked with client's who have experienced trauma, anxiety and depressive symptoms through a variety of modalities including, polyvagal theory, trauma informed yoga, somatic experiencing, narrative therapy, CBT and mindfulness. I'm trained in the SPACE program for treating child and adolescent anxiety.
I have found great success in being able to create a warm, supportive, non-judgmental and comforting environment. This lays the groundwork for effective work that leads to successful outcomes for clients. Meeting virtually allows clients to meet from the comfort of their own space without having to travel.
