I work with individuals, couples, and families confronting a range of challenging circumstances including, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I specialize in understanding complex family dynamics and how these play out over the life cycle. Acutely aware that life can pull the rug out from underneath us though the experince of a traumatic or extraordinary event, I use a trauma informed lens in my work. My lived expereince and theological training have taught me to appreciate the role that faith & spirituality play in healing and when asked, I will bring these tools into our work together.
Drawing from a family systems and neurobiological perspective, I use a range of clinical strategies to help you achieve balance and live better with chronic mental health, family, or trauma related challenges. Meeting people where they are with calm, compassion, and competence, I work with you to find your inner strength and to become your best self.
Working for over 30 years with those impacted by trauma and loving those living with chronic mental illness has given me a unique look into the ways in which exposure to a wide variety of traumatic events affects us and ultimately those we love. This blend of clinical and life experience enriches my theraputic approach.
