Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, with over 20 years of experience in the Mental Health field including Case Management. I am a helper by nature. I often am intrigued by with the "why factor". Why I have made certain decisions as well as others. I love & enjoy being a counselor & helping my clients to gain insight into their lives past & present. I enjoy working with young adults, adults, & the geriatric population. I also have experience working with families. My theoretical orientation is eclectic.
Client Centered therapy, which allows clients to gain greater trust within him or herself, form healthier relationships, increase self-esteem, and express their personal feelings and opinions. I enjoy incorporating Gestalt therapy which is a client- centered approach to psychotherapy, as well as Narrative therapy in working with families.
I have real life experiences of trauma & sudden life changes. I am a natural “people person” which helps me to develop rapport quickly with clients. I want my clients to know I am here to ensure they will grow, gain insight & enlightenment throughout their counseling process.
