My name is Lorena Magen and I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). As a therapist, my goal is to teach you skills and strategies through evidenced based practices in order to manage life stressors and/or trauma and achieve a more fulfilling life. By providing unconditional positive regard, empathy, and a strong therapeutic relationship, I can help you make positive changes that are aligned with your personal goals and values. Together we can work towards developing your personal mental health goals and an individualized treatment plan that will make you feel understood and supported.
I have been in the mental health field since 2008, and I have worked in a variety of settings throughout California such as public schools, county agencies, non-profits, and private homes. Additionally, I have experience providing services to diverse populations of adolescents, adults, and families.
I am fluent in both the English and Spanish languages, and provide mental health services in both languages. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, EMDR and a variety of other modalities to help my clients achieve their goals.
