Many people I work with have been in therapy before, but it didn't go deep enough. They still feel anxious, depressed, or unsure of themselves, and are stuck in old patterns in relationships with others and themselves. I work particularly well with people who have difficult relationships with a parent, those who experienced a lot of chaos as children, young adults, new parents and LGBTQ folks, but I work well with anyone who wants to understand themselves better. I can help you get to the root of your problems instead of only looking at the surface-level symptoms.
I practice psychodynamic therapy. I help you become an expert on yourself by exploring your unconscious feelings, conflicts, and motivations. I provide a safe, nonjudgemental space for you to approach subjects you've been avoiding and to make connections that might surprise you but that help free you from old patterns and live life more fully.
I will listen without judgment to whatever you have to say. I strive to see and understand not only who my clients are now, but who they have been, and who they are in the process of becoming.
