Over 17 years experience working with adolescents, families, and individuals with co-occurring disorders. I employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Therapy, and Reality Therapy as evidenced based theoretical approaches to my practice. I specialize in working with adolescents and individuals with co-occurring disorders.
I empower my clients to hold me accountable by soliciting feedback on what is needed from me. I respect the client's autonomy, therefore the therapeutic process is guided by the client. I believe humor is important to the therapeutic process because it helps build rapport, relieves tension and helps individuals communicate difficult messages.
