Certain events often precede the beginning of our therapy journey. Old trauma, new grief, relationship crossroads, shifting family dynamics, job and career changes, moving, starting or completing school, some sort of “bottom” related to a painful behavior — I’m familiar with these challenges. You may come to me with problems that seem more pervasive than a specific event. I am a great fit for folks dealing with anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, as well as compulsive behaviors, general anger and irritability, work and school stress, and the ever-present desire to simply pause, breathe, be kind to yourself.
Mindfulness-based therapy produces the insight and self-compassion necessary to identify your needs and progress toward your goals. So often, unconscious dynamics and inherited patterns of behavior dominate our lives. These processes usually exist beneath or outside of our conscious awareness. Accepting ourselves is required to make real and lasting change.
How we spend our time together depends on what will lead to your fulfillment. My primary role is to hold a safe and sacred space for you to increase awareness and compassion.
