It’s exhausting, lonely and disheartening; especially when you’re arguing with the person who’s meant to understand you the most. You might feel like you're repeating the same argument and getting nowhere. I can help you and your partner support and understand each other through productive and honest communication. I work with couples in many different phases of their relationship. Common challenges facing the couples I work with include: recurring arguments, defensiveness, poor communication, infidelity or betrayal, broken trust, intimacy issues, disagreements about finances or household tasks, divorce or separation and personal trauma that impacts the relationship.
My approach to couples therapy is warm and direct. I strive to bring authenticity to our sessions, and I’ll encourage you to do the same. You won't be "blamed" or made to feel bad. We won’t just talk about the problems, we’ll figure out why you're stuck, and what to do about it. My focus is on effective and realistic strategies for lasting change.
