I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults who struggle with social, emotional or behavioral issues associated with anxiety, ADHD, OCD, learning disabilities, loss or divorce. Drawing largely from the evidence-based practices of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), my goals are to help young clients gain an understanding of their challenges and develop more effective coping skills. I work closely with parents to help them better understand their child’s difficulties and learn how to best guide and support them at home and school.
I have been in private practice for 12 years and have 25+ years experience working with children and families. My past clinical experience includes work in special education and residential treatment for children with behavioral problems. I strive for a creative and fun approach to therapy that provides a safe and positive learning experience for my clients.
