People often come to me when they're navigating a distressing situation or an emotion where they're not sure how to handle it. What you'll find with me is a collaborative nonjudgmental environment where we can work through these difficulties. A place that's comfortable and grounded, where we work together toward a genuine understanding of how and why you respond the way you do. Many people find that the process becomes about something larger than the original concern and transforms into a deeper understanding of themselves, self-compassion, the patterns they carry, and the values they want to live by.
My practice is anchored in EMDR and IFS modalities that address the underlying and deeper drivers of distress. For OCD, Anxiety, Panic Disorders and Phobias I integrate ERP, one of the most empirically supported treatments available. With couples, I draw on Imago, EFT, and the Gottman Method. I also incorporate CBT and DBT and many other modalities.
I've devoted years to specialized training along with consulting field experts to further my knowledge. I enjoy learning and staying current on research. My aim is for people to feel heard, connected, and safe. I want therapy to feel like a discussion that you can trust is being influenced by evidence-based practices.
